Then I went to church and fed dinner to this kid:
Then we had our Lent study on being a Good Samaritan. I had a Coke $0.50 and about $0.50 worth of the chips I brought were eaten.
We had some wonderful home grown salad, spicy chicken, rice krispie treats, and more! I love potlucks.
We talked about disease in the world and how millions of kids are dying from preventable diseases like malaria, HIV/AIDS, TB, and even diahrrea from unclean water. This is definitely not okay!
I watched a little of the Biggest Loser and hit the hay!

Feel free to post any questions ya'll have for me about the challenge or about how the food stamp system works. If I don't know I'm glad to find out.
At lunch Stacy asked me if there was any special consideration given to people who have food allergies to give them an increase in their food stamps. I looked it up last night and there is not. It has been hard for me being gluten-free but there are easy substitutions for some things (not others). Dairy and nut allergies are probably very hard to accomodate on a limited budget.
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
– Romans 12:1-2
