Food Stamp Challenge: Day 15

This week is flying by seriously!

Morning Weight: 238.5

After not enough sleep, I got up for a 5:30 boot camp session with Brandon (he is seriously kicking my butt!) and ate the other half of the amazing Clif Bar on the way ($0.50). It might have not been the best choice because I spent the first 15 minutes of the class trying not to throw it up but after that I was fine.

When I got to work I had:

Orange $0.33
Trail Mix - $0.70
Peanut Butter - $0.05

I met my friend Stephanie for a high class lunch at Wendy's and got the Baja Salad (chili on the side, baked potato, water). It was a lot of food all for $5.40.

I bought some candy from my co-worker. 2 Dove Dark Chocolate with Almonds (Stinkin' YUM!) - $0.10

After work I stopped for gas on the way to the Boys and Girls Club and of course broke down and bought some Cheetos (My name is Cortney and I'm a Cheetoholic!) - $0.99

We started a new study at my church for Lent about becoming a Good Samaritan and we had a potluck dinner. I brought chips (because the cantaloupe I was going to bring went bad) but I don't really think anyone ate any of them because we had a TON of food (turkey/spinach roll ups, gluten free cup cakes, 3 kinds of soup, avacado icecream -YUM!) so I had no cost there.

After a soccer game (we finally won!) and back to help clean up at the study, I crashed in bed!

Wednesday Total: $8.12 (gotta get back on track pronto!)

Total spent in 15 days: $67.08 (An average of $4.47 a day)

Total remaining: $139.92

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’" Matthew 25:37-40

All I can say is I am paying a lot more for food out here in the Bay Area! I wonder what the amount is for a month of food stamps here?

Happy Thursday :)
