Busy life..

I know I'm not very entertaining, but summer is a busy time. I am getting ready to leave for Junior High Mission Trip on Thursday and will come back Sunday.

The first week of training went well. I have only drank water except for a little orange juice. I'm counting carbs and calories and feeling pretty good.

I got three good workouts in this week (a training week that started on Thursday I might add). I think I'm off to a good start.

1.5 Miles Thursday

Friday - was crossing training and counted my softball game for that though I didn't really put out too much effort for that besides running hard to first base and getting beaten by the throw...but I ran it out!

Saturday was 2 miles. I felt really good when I finished it.

Sunday - I did 1.5 miles on the treadmill at the YMCA - it was suppose to be taking it easy but I was in a time crunch and went faster than I should have.

I'm very glad today is a rest day. I was so worn out by last night and am glad to have the time to recharge. Up this week:

Tuesday - 2 miles
Thursday - 2.5 miles
Saturday - 3 miles
Sunday - 2 miles - taking it easy

I'll be on mission trip for that Saturday workout but hopefully I can get up early and get it in and not smell completely horrible for the rest of the day at the worksite.

Thanks for all your encouragement and support...I'm counting on it as we get closer to October 11th.

You are such an inspiration! Congratulations on your workouts and runs. we need some softball pics too.

Tell me, are some of these camp things work related or how do you get the time off for all of them?

Next time Cooper comes to town call me! I wanted to see them in VA but I'm only there for two full days, and it's too far to sneak away for a quick visit.

Hey Grandma J! I save up most of my time off for the summer for mission trips and retreats. My company has a very generous time off allowance so that's very nice.

I will! It'll be after Joslyn is born (August) so it'll be a while but I will definitely let you know.

Cooper just said "That's pretty awesome." I mean he was talking about markers, not your workout schedule, but still...it kinda fits. =)

We're proud of you!

And definately want to meet Grandma J whenever we come home next time.

GO TEAM!!
Last year in May I could barely run...it was time to either get old and give up or run like I used to...so I started jogging/walking until I could do the small route and then I would add more to the run. Then in Sept. my co-worker and I ran a half....and I have been keeping it up since and ran the Seattle Rock and Roll 1/2 last month...and in Oct. I will run the San Jose Rock and Roll and the S.F. Women's Nike 1/2...it feels good to be in shape again...and this time I won't get out of it.

Good work!!
